This course is the “Comprehensive Programme” ( New Zealand First Aid Certificate) for your worksite or those requiring first aid training for study or future employment. With a required online component pre-course component, the rest of the course is all hands-on and practical, utilizing scenarios to enhance learning. It will give you skills, knowledge, and confidence when providing first aid, not only for single casualty but also multiple casualty scenarios. Please note: attendees of this discounted student course will be asked to provide a student identification when attending the course. Our Foundation First Aid Certificate (Workplace First Aid Course) is recommended for low-risk workplaces and designed for people who do not need to obtain the 6400 unit standard (Manage first aid in an emergency situation) which is covered in our New Zealand First Aid Certificate (Comprehensive First Aid Course). Please allow up to 4 hours to complete the per-course online learning.
This course allows you to refresh your first aid knowledge and skills, ensuring they’re up-to-date and relevant. A refresher/ Revalidation course can be undertaken if you have completed a Workplace First Aid or Full New Zealand First Aid ( Comprehensive) certificate, and Outdoor or Advanced First Aid course and your certificate has not expired. Certificates are valid for 2 years; see below. Please allow up to 4 hours to complete your pre-course online learning. The refresher course is available as part of all full First Aid courses and runs from 9 am - 1 pm. REQUIRED: Please supply your National Student Number (NSN). Assess and manage an emergency care situation during an outdoor recreation activity. This course is delivered in the outdoor environment and focuses on providing first aid in that setting, utilizing best practice (equipment on hand) and improvising materials from the local environment. Working as a team as well as managing the first aid situation alone and often in remote location (where help arriving may be delayed) is a focus also of this course.
An advanced, progressive and innovative course, Provide Basic Emergency Care provides you with the skills and knowledge required to provide immediate and advanced first aid assistance. This course involves management and provision of Advanced First Aid, not limited to, but including: Airway management, including providing Oxygen, Transportation of casualties ( Back board and Splint Strecher) observations, such as BP, O2 Saturation, Temp, Pulse, use of AED with CPR and Multiple casualty scenarios. Our Comprehensive First Aid Course is the course your students need to attend to assist them with future study enrolment or employment requirements.
